Recognition of Prior Learning assesses the skills you already use at work against a qualification. If you have enough experience in disability or aged care support, you can gain the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support without classroom training.
Evidence shows an assessor that you already perform the skills in each unit. It can include a current resume, position descriptions, references or a statement of service from your employer, certificates from previous training, and work samples such as de-identified care notes or shift reports. Your supervisor will also be asked to verify your skills online, and an assessor may follow up with questions or an observation.
